Stretch and Nourish Your Muscles

 

Stretching is just as important as the workout 💪 By stretching every day, you increase blood flow to your muscles, improve flexibility and reduce injury. You can even reduce stress and calm your mind!

Whether you’re stretching before and/or after working out or you’re stretching just to stretch, applying a natural muscle relaxer to your muscles can help to reduce inflammation, soreness, and stiffness.

We have prepared a stretching routine for you to start your day, start your workout or cool down after, that combined with our noteCBD Muscle Recovery, will loosen and nourish your muscles. All you need is a or an exercise ball.

First, start by warming up. You can warm up your muscles by taking a hot bath or shower, doing 10 minutes of light cardio or working out. To feel more focused, you can take a dropper of your favorite tincture.

Hold each of the following steps for 20 seconds and repeat as necessary:

  1. Stretch your quads by grabbing the top of one of your feet and bend your knee, bringing the foot towards the glutes. Hold for 20 seconds and switch sides. Keep your knees as close together as possible!
  2. Clasp your hands together behind your back, keeping your arms straight. Lift your hands towards the ceiling as high as it’s comfortable and hold. You should feel a stretch in your chest and shoulders.
  3. Sit and round your back, clasping your hands together in front of you and pressing your arms away from your body, stretching your upper back. Contract the abs and hold for 20 seconds.
  4. Stretch your sides, sitting or standing, by clasping your hands together straight overhead and with your palms facing the ceiling. Stretch up, over to the right, and hold. Stretch up, over to the left, and hold…
  5. Stretch your hamstrings by taking a foot forward and tipping from the hips. Keep your back flat, rest your hands on the upper thighs for support. If you feel your hamstrings are too tight, use a resistance band.
